Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends,

Development of the DCS: F-15C Eagle continues to advance following the transition into full production earlier this year. Current efforts are heavily focused on 3D modelling, with advanced photogrammetry and laser scanning helping deliver a highly refined external model and cockpit. More details below.

We’re excited to announce that the latest Blender EDM Exporter is now available on Eagle Dynamics’ GitHub. This update improves access and delivers a smoother, more collaborative workflow for creating DCS assets. This update adds new documentation and instructional videos, along with expanded community support. We hope this will make exporting and integrating your 3D creations more accessible. Check out the details below!

We’ll be at FlightSimExpo 2026 in Saint Paul from June 12–14 with an expanded DCS presence that will feature two cockpit setups, partner showcases, and live experiences. Join the community and us for hands-on demos, special guests, and interactive events. Read more below.

Thank you for your passion and support.

Yours sincerely,

Eagle Dynamics

DCS: F-15C Eagle

Development Report

F-15C Eagle

Earlier this year, we announced the completion of the DCS: F-15C Eagle’s design phase and the transition into full development. Since then, the project has continued to move forward, with ongoing efforts focused on shaping the module specifically in the area of 3D modelling.

To set a new benchmark in visual fidelity, the team has integrated advanced photogrammetry and laser scanning into the asset-creation process. Thousands of high-resolution reference images have been captured and processed into detailed 3D data, providing an accurate foundation for geometry and textures.

Laser scanning has further improved this process by enabling the precise capture of complex structures that are typically difficult to reproduce. This includes intricate exhaust mechanisms, intake geometries, and the subtle contours that define the Eagle’s shape. The result is a highly refined external model and cockpit that accurately represents the real aircraft, including the smallest surface details.

These efforts ensure that the DCS: F-15C Eagle meets DCS 2026 and beyond expectations and that it visually stands out by delivering realism and accuracy.

Blender EDM Exporter

DCS Modding Community

Blender EDM Plugin

We’re pleased to announce that the latest Blender EDM Exporter update is now available on Eagle Dynamics’ official GitHub repository. This update enables a more collaborative development environment, and it provides the community with direct access to essential 3D asset tools for DCS.

This plugin allows 3D artists to export models directly to DCS EDM format, streamlining workflows and improving simulator integration. The update includes comprehensive documentation and an updated PDF tutorial to guide both new and experienced Blender users through the export process.

We have also created a dedicated YouTube video tutorial series with step-by-step guidance on setup and workflow. Whether you are new to DCS assets creation or seeking to refine your skills, these resources provide a comprehensive learning path for building high-quality DCS assets.

The Blender EDM Exporter will remain on the Eagle Dynamics site for easy access. With open licensing (all permissions and limitations regarding modifications are described in the license on the GitHub page), the plugin welcomes community-driven improvements. Developers are encouraged to contribute enhancements through the GitHub repository, where your work may become part of the official toolset.

This update reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the DCS modding community. We remain dedicated to empowering creators to help expand the DCS ecosystem.

FlightSimExpo 2026

We’re pleased to attend FlightSimExpo 2026, which is coming to downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. It will take place between June 12–14, and it will be hosted at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. Flight simmers, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts of all ages are invited to join us as we exhibit alongside the community’s leading vendors, software developers, and partners. This year, we’re bringing an expanded hands-on experience with two fully equipped DCS cockpits that showcase the latest offerings from WINCTRL and enhanced with Tobii Eye Tracking for a highly immersive experience.

We’re also excited to be joined by Heatblur Simulations, represented by the voice behind Jester, Grayson “Graywo1f” Frohberg. He will be meeting attendees and sharing insights from one of DCS’s most recognizable AI copilot voices.

New for 2026, the Grinnelli Designs booth will host the “FlightSimExpo Combat Arena,” a high-energy, interactive experience featuring head-to-head air combat, coordinated team operations, and airshow-style performances. Open to all attendees, the booth will offer a unique opportunity to meet the team behind the DCS: F-100D Super Sabre. Come fly DCS, and compete to win some exciting prizes.
