Years of civil war have torn Syria apart. The once-prosperous land became an arena for endless battles, where various factions, fighting for power, left behind ruins and pain. The people, exhausted by the war, sought salvation, but hope faded with each passing day.
Realizing they could not manage on their own, Syria appealed to the international community for help.
Several states responded to the call and gradually began pushing terrorist formations out of the territory and providing humanitarian aid to the people of Syria.
It is the year 2000. The terrorist organization Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a coordinated attack resulting in heavy damage to the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis while docked at the port of Haifa, Israel. The assault has led to the deaths of dozens of U.S. military personnel and civilians.
In response to this act of aggression and a broader wave of terrorist activity across the region, the United Nations Security Council has authorized a multinational military operation to dismantle Hezbollah's operational capabilities. Rules of engagement are strict: collateral damage must be avoided at all costs - no further civilian casualties are permissible.

1985 - Following a sudden shift in Soviet leadership, the USSR abandoned détente and launched a full-scale invasion of Western Europe. West Germany fell within days, and most of the German Air Force was wiped out on the ground. Only a handful of squadrons managed to escape to Britain, regrouping for NATO’s last stand.
With Central Europe in flames, the Soviet war machine turned north. The Soviets goal: control of Scandinavia and the North Atlantic, cutting off NATO’s supply lines and forcing the West into submission.
In a desperate bid to halt the advance, NATO formed the Task Force Northern Defenders—a coalition of land, sea, and air units drawn from across the alliance. Among them, the remnants of the German Luftwaffe, hastily reformed and thrown into the fight.
As an F-4 Phantom pilot, you will engage in high-risk missions—from air superiority to deep strikes and close air support—fighting to hold the line and push the Soviets back.
Outnumbered. Outgunned. Not defeated.
The fate of Europe is in your hands.

With the help of an extensive archive of original combat reports, you'll be able to relive these events in DCS World exactly the way they happened 80 years ago.
