This mod adds a movable nose-mounted machine gun to the Mi-8MTV-2 helicopter. You can use it in single-player or multiplayer missions by pressing the "4" key in the cockpit (switching to the gunner's position). Important! The color of the front plate covering the cockpit glass can be customized in the texture file (`pkt_texture.png`) to match your specific livery. The models, textures, and scripts included in this mod are the intellectual property of the author.
Reuse, modification, or redistribution of any part of this mod without the prior written consent of @hel1cr is prohibited.

SITUATION (Mission Briefing)
May 7, 1942 — Coral Sea / Louisiade Archipelago
Intelligence and scout aircraft have been playing a deadly game of hide-and-seek. Yesterday, the Japanese believed they found our main fleet, but instead struck the oiler Neosho and the destroyer Sims.

This morning, at 08:15, our reconnaissance reported two Japanese carriers. Believing them to be the main strike force (Shōkaku and Zuikaku), Task Force 17 launched a massive strike package from the USS Lexington and USS Yorktown consisting of 53 SBD Dauntless dive bombers, 22 torpedo planes, and 18 F4F Wildcats.

However, the spot report was miscoded. You are not flying toward the main fleet; you have been diverted to a new target 30 nautical miles away: the Japanese invasion cover force.
